Colby Delashaw, MBA
Principal/Partner
Colby began his journey at Baylor University as a student-athlete, playing safety for the Baylor Football team while earning recognition on the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll. He graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, leveraging his disciplined mindset and technical acumen. Eager to broaden his business perspective, he returned to Baylor for an MBA at the Hankamer School of Business focused on Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation. Transitioning into the construction sector, he took on the role of project manager, where he managed over $45 million in commercial construction projects, guided projects through complex jurisdictions, and gained valuable industry insight. Today, as Principal and Partner at 8G Construction, he combines his athletic grit, engineering background, business expertise, and practical field experience to lead and grow the company.
Chris Deleenheer

Rooted in Waco, Texas, Chris DeLeenheer has built a career defined by entrepreneurship, investment, and a commitment to helping businesses grow. With more than two decades of experience spanning construction, development, and home services, he has launched, led, and exited multiple successful ventures while also investing in opportunities that create long-term value.
Chris is a Partner at Sure Home CFO, where he equips construction and home service companies with fractional CFO expertise. He also serves as Partner at 8G Construction, helping drive commercial construction projects across Texas, and at Challenger Companies, an MEP platform operating throughout Central Texas. In addition, Chris is the Founder of 85 Capital Partners, a lower-middle market M&A advisory firm, and DeLeenheer Capital, a family office dedicated to legacy-focused investing.
His track record includes more than 20 buy- and sell-side transactions, highlighted by building and exiting a $30M real estate portfolio and achieving notable successes such as the $32M sale of a medical device startup to Medtronic, a $48M freestanding ER concept exit to Intuitive Health, and a $15M restaurant concept sale to a private equity group.
Chris’s experience extends internationally, having founded a consulting firm in India and worked with organizations across Asia and the Middle East, from Fortune 500 companies to family enterprises. Alongside his business pursuits, he has been deeply involved in church planting and leadership both in the U.S. and abroad.
A Baylor University graduate and former football player, Chris has been married to his wife, Libby, for 20 years. Together they are raising four daughters and remain committed to faith, family, and building ventures that endure.
